MINIATURE ARTISTS OF AMERICA
Miniature Artists of America is an invitational organisation set up to honour outstanding practitioners of contemporary American miniature art.

MAA has organised an educational juried traveling exhibit of its members' works. The Exhibit is available as a free public service to libraries, art museums, galleries and other cultural groups. It enhances primary goals of MAA - to further the understanding of the public concerning miniature art and to encourage artists and art lovers to join in the miniature art resurgence.

Ongoing miniature painting classes

The classes are small and intimate. You will get individual instruction in either drawing or painting in a variety of mediums, depending on your currant skill level or interests. The class is geared towards each student and his or her goals. If you are interested in drawing you will learn to draw from life with emphasis on shading and texture. If you would like to learn to paint you will learn about color, composition and how to build a painting, etc. If you have never drawn before Barbara recommends taking drawing first. Working on a painting and having trouble? Why don't you just drop in for one or two sessions and Barbara will help you through it. Classes are on Friday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:30 or 6:00 to 9:00pm, depending on how long you wish to stay. $75. per month or $25. to drop in for the 1 1/2 hrs or $110. per month or $35. as a drop in for the 3 hours session.
