Helen was born and educated in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. She studied Calligraphy, Illumination and Heraldry at Reigate School of Art, obtaining a First Class Diploma in 1986. She has since worked free-lance, undertaking a wide variety of commissions. These include Presentation Scrolls, Family Trees and one-off pieces of Calligraphy and Illumination. Helen also works for the College of Arms, writing Letters Patent, granting New Coats of Arms. Recipients of her work have included the Duke of Gloucester and the President of Turkey.

Helen has successfully exhibited her miniatures with the Royal Miniature Society, the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery, the Hilliard Society, the Miniature Art Society of Florida and at the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition. Her miniatures usually depict medieval scenes or illuminated initial letters. She was elected to full membership of the RMS in 2002 |
