Heather initially studied Fine Art at Newport School of Art followed by a period working in a drawing office on fine scale maps. She then taught Art part-time while pursuing her interest in portrait painting.
Over the last decade or so she has concentrated on working on miniatures in watercolours and has exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, and with the Royal Miniature Society, in London. She also exhibits with the Hilliard Society and in privately owned galleries in England, USA and France..
