2010 Annual International Exhibition : Conditions of entry

Saturday 29th May – Sunday 6th June

Please note new guidelines for dimensions of work

• A high standard of composition
• Excellent draughtsmanship. Fine work, showing mastery of technique in chosen medium and palette
• No subject larger than life. The head in portraits no larger than 2 inches
• Generally, paintings submitted should be no larger than 100 sq. inches (before framing) and 100 inches (framed)
• Frames and mounts must be of high quality, clean and in keeping with the painting

Pre-selection advice is available on request by sending work or good quality photographs to our selection committee at our office. This has to be well in advance of the send in date. Please contact us if necessary.

Work is required for selection by TUESDAY 6th APRIL.

Entry fees are:

• Members: £6 per item
• Non members: Non members may submit up to three works at a submission fee of £12 per work. £5 of this covers handling and admin fees and is non-refundable. £7 is the hanging fee and this will be returned if the work is rejected

Insurance: Whilst paintings are displayed in locked cases throughout the exhibition in secured/alarmed premises, exhibitors are responsible for insuring their work both during transit and on exhibition.

Unsold work can be collected from the Hilliard Society Office, provided you have previously made arrangements for this on the entry form.

Unsold work not collected is returned within 6 weeks of the end of the exhibition.
